Terms of Service

Welcome to RentOn ("the Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and RentOn. Please read them carefully before using the Service.

1. Service Description

What we provide

RentOn is a digital rental listing and notification tool. It organises listings from public rental sources and listings provided directly by listers, lets you set search criteria, and sends matching listing alerts, delivered primarily through our LINE official account. RentOn does not participate in rental transactions, collect rent or deposits, or act as a broker between landlords and tenants.

Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes.

Availability

We strive to keep the Service running smoothly but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

2. Account Management

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service
You sign in with your LINE account and are responsible for keeping it secure
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
Notify us immediately if you discover unauthorised use of your account

3. Subscriptions and Payment

Subscription fees cover use of the notification tool only and do not involve any rental transactions, rent, or deposits. Unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period, your subscription will renew automatically at the then-current price.

Free days of use obtained through activities such as inviting friends are a benefit the Service provides free of charge; they cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred. The conditions for obtaining them are as stated on the activity page, and we may adjust or end such an activity at any time. Days obtained through fake accounts, self-referral, or other improper means may be cancelled.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Access the Service's systems or data without authorisation
Distribute malware or harmful content
Impersonate others or provide false information

5. Disclaimer

Sources of listing information

Listings shown on the Service come from two sources:

Public sources: posts collected from public social-media groups and organised by the Service. Original posts may be removed, edited, or become unavailable at any time.
Provided directly by a lister: provided to the Service by a landlord, agent, real estate brokerage, or other lister, and published after a basic content check. Such listings are marked on the page as posted on RentOn by that lister, showing the lister's role (such as owner, agent acting for the owner, or real estate agent); listings posted by a real estate brokerage also show its brokerage details. The lister role and brokerage details shown are as self-declared by the lister. All content of such listings, including text, photos, rent, floor area, floor level, condition, and contact details, is supplied by the lister, who is responsible for its truthfulness, accuracy, and legality.

No verification, no warranty

Regardless of source, we do not verify the identity of a lister, the lister's authority to rent out the property, or the authenticity of any listing, and we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information. Please verify details yourself before contacting a lister, viewing a property, or paying any deposit, for example by asking the lister for proof of ownership or of authority to rent, and stay alert to rental scams. Before a listing provided directly by a lister goes live, we only run a basic content check (for example, whether required fields are complete and whether there is content that obviously breaches these Terms); this check does not mean we have verified or guarantee its content.

Limitation of liability

Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on information obtained through the Service.

6. Listings Provided Directly by Listers

Our role

For listings provided directly by a lister, the Service acts solely as a medium for publishing the listing information. RentOn is not a licensed real estate brokerage, employs no licensed real estate agents, does not act as an intermediary, representative, or sales agent in any rental, does not negotiate or sign lease agreements on behalf of any party, and does not collect any payment. Any lease, its performance, and any dispute arising from it exist solely between the lister (or the landlord the lister represents) and the tenant, and do not involve the Service.

Lister representations and responsibility

By providing listing information to the Service, a lister represents and warrants that:

They are the owner or landlord of the property, or have been authorised by the landlord to list it
The information provided is true and complies with the laws and regulations applicable to residential rental advertising
They hold the rights to, or have obtained permission for, all content provided (including text and photos), and that content does not infringe any third party's copyright, portrait rights, privacy, or other rights
They consent to the Service displaying their name or title and contact details to users of the Service for the purpose of enquiring about the listing

The lister is solely responsible for any dispute or liability arising from content that is untrue, infringing, or unlawful. If the Service suffers loss or receives a third-party claim as a result, the lister shall indemnify the Service.

Licence to share

The lister grants the Service a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service, to reproduce, publicly transmit, and display the listing information they provide, including text, photos, and the lister's name or title and contact details, on the Service and on RentOn's official social media accounts (such as Threads, our Facebook page, and our LINE official account), and to crop or resize it for layout. Once a listing is taken down, we will not share it again, and the lister may ask us to remove content already shared.

Removal and correction

A lister may at any time edit or take down their listing themselves under "My listings" in the listing dashboard, or ask us to correct or remove it using the contact details in these Terms; we will act on the request within a reasonable time. Anyone who believes a listing on the Service infringes their rights or is inaccurate may notify us through the same channel, and we may take the listing down pending review. We reserve the right to remove any listing without notice.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
